What is PTA?

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at Jim Thorpe Fundamental School is a group of parent volunteers, teachers and staff who develop and offer programs and activities to enhance our students' academic and social experiences and support our families and amazing staff. All parents of Jim Thorpe students are encouraged to join the PTA. Having a high percentage of members helps strengthen our grant applications. It also provides more parent involvement, a stronger collective voice for school improvement, and access to more discounts and programs.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to positively impact the lives of all children and families.

What does PTA do?

The PTA raises funds to bridge the gap left by insufficient district and state funds. The money raised by the PTA is used to pay for enrichment programs, assemblies, technology, classroom supplies, school improvements and family fun events. We are part of the 4th District PTA, California PTA and National PTA as our governing bodies. We adhere to a strict code of bylaws set forth from these organizations.

PTA Association Meetings
